his route offers a complete immersion in the coastal landscapes of the Upper Adriatic. Starting from Lido di Jesolo, the journey takes you through some of the most evocative natural environments and seaside villages along the Venetian coast, eventually reaching the picturesque town of Caorle.
The route to follow
The first stretch of the itinerary involves crossing the Ponte di Cortellazzo, a panoramic viewpoint offering spectacular views over the mouth of the Piave River. Continuing on, you will quickly reach Eraclea Mare, where you can admire the coastal pine forest that defines this section of the shoreline. The cycle path along Viale dei Fiori guides you through Mediterranean scents and glimpses of the sea.
As you continue your journey, you will pass through the seaside area of Duna Verde, a peaceful oasis surrounded by greenery, before arriving at the charming village of Porto Santa Margherita. This picturesque marina is well worth a stop: strolling among the moored boats, you can breathe in the authentic maritime atmosphere and, if you wish, enjoy fresh seafood specialties at one of the local restaurants.
The final stretch of the route leads you to Caorle, one of the gems of the Venetian coast. This seaside town has preserved the charm of an ancient fishing village, with pastel-colored houses lining narrow alleys reminiscent of a small Venice. A walk along the characteristic seafront is a must, where you can admire the rock sculptures created by artists during the “Scogliera Viva” competition and visit the Sanctuary of Madonna dell’Angelo, set on a promontory overlooking the sea.
